Le modelage de la terre me procure des sensations uniques, profondes. Travailler la terre revient à soumettre sa douceur un peu molle et mouillée à une fermeté paisible, durable et sèche au travers d'un processus lent, un temps incompressible, d'ailleurs ces caractéristiques correspondent exactement à mes rythmes intérieurs.
La terre permet de créer des objets à l'infini, grâce aux paramètres choisis pour la création projetée. Ainsi l'équation : nombreux types d'argiles x différentes techniques de fabrication x innombrables techniques de finition + cuisson(s) = une pièce unique, autorise une imagination intense.
La création, réussie ou non, garde une part de mystère, d'aléatoire, qui m'émeut particulièrement. Elle devient alors un objet autonome, échappant finalement à mes mains et à mon désir initial. Cette sensation me plaît.
The modelling of the clay gets me unique and deep sensations. Working carving clay material means subjecting its sweetness a little bit soft and wet in a peaceful, durable and dry firmness through a slow process, in an incompressible time, moreover these characteristics correspond exactly to my internal rhythms.
The use of this material allows to create objects in the infinity, thanks to the parameters chosen as the planned project. So the equation: numerous types of clays x different technical of manufacturing x uncountable techniques of finish + cooking (s) = a unique piece of art, authorizes an intense imagination.
The work of creation, being successful or not, always keeps a part of mystery, of random result, which moves me particularly. It becomes then an autonomous object, finally escaping from my own hands and my initial desire. This feeling, I like it !

the workshop
L'atelier existe depuis janvier 2004. Il est situé à Alfortville, dans le Val de Marne, là se créent et se réalisent des sculptures et des objets en faïence, grès ou porcelaine.
The workshop exists since January 2004. It is located in Alfortville, in Paris suburbs. It is the place where are created and made sculptures and designed artifacts out of earthenware, stoneware or porcelain.
